The Black Light Project

Now, more than ever, it is important the we challenge the way media portrays Black Men. Each day we are bombarded by negative stories of who they are not and who they are  not. However, our society should know that this is not the case. We are fortunate to be surrounded by Black Men who daily, challenge this narrative simply by virtue of their existence and their commitment to their families, their communities, and to bettering themselves. The Black Light Project has been afforded the opportunity to produce work within 2 communities. It all began in Greenville, North Carolina in 2016. In 2017, through grant funding, we were given the opportunity to work in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Select below to see stories from Greenville, North Carolina and Rocky Mount, North Carolina.
